Route Summary:

The ride between Redbrook and Tintern starts easily enough alongside the Wye for several miles before climbing steeply on road up from Tintern into the forestry. A highpoint of almost 900ft (275m) is reached to the north of Cleddon before a fast descent back down to the river at Redbrook. The second loop lies to the east of the river and uses the Coxbury and Wyegate Lane, now fallen into a fine state of disrepair, to climb up towards Newland with its excellent pub, descending back down to Redbrook along the course of an old coach road. Fine pubs, fine tracks, fine views and fine descents, what more could one ask for?
