This lollipop-shaped ride climbs up from the Thames Valley at Streatley where the river cuts its way through the chalk at the famous Goring Gap. To the west of the Thames lie the big open spaces and wide chalk & flint tracks of the Ridgeway and the Berkshire / Wiltshire Downs. Climb steadily on the broad chalk and flint track from Warren Farm to East Ilsley which offers refreshments at a couple of pubs.
